FEB 27 2019 NFCBA MEETING MINUTES

Community Updates:
  • Project Smile – Bill See Luncheon Update: Raised approx. $41,000
  • City – Mayor Pro Tem Gerry Horak and Mayor Wade Troxell
    • Gerry:
      • Working on monies for N. I-25.  
      • Possible expansion of Innosphere.  One addition would be a water quality lab to the East.  Council could vote on this in April.
      • Outdoor residential wood burning coming up again.
      • Digital billboards being considered again vs. “static” billboards
      • Increase in digital that changes would eliminate a significant amount of static
    • Wade: 
      • Working on issues both State and Federal and how it carries to the City legislation.
    • City Planner Clark Mapes
      • Olk Elk Distillery being approved on Red Cedar and Blue Spruce.  
      • Last phase of Old Town North in process.  
      • Stormwater on W. side of N. College being worked on through the CAG and the URA.
    • County – Commissioner John Kefalas
      • Yesterday approved letter to CDOT for Federal grant asking for additional monies for N. I-25.  
      • Comp and Strategic Plans are progressing.  Draft should be complete in April.
    • Larimer County Planning Commission, Jeff Jensen
      • Currently working on the transmission line from the new wind farm in WY through the County to the City.
    • Fed – Dan Betts
      • House passed Public Lands Bill – permanent land and conservation fund, very beneficial for CO.
    • ​Police, Sgt. Kent Robinson
      • Busy.  Stay aware and call if needed.
Presentations:
  • City of Ft. Collins - Cameron Gloss, Long Range Planning Manager – City Plan Vision
    • City Plan & Master Transportation Plan will be combined into one document. Plan is near completion. Adoption hearing: March 19, 2019.
