    • Budget is the theme of the work session - 6% cut across the entire organization
    • Freeze for jobs, but no lay offs
    • Lack of funds for plowing trails, forestry, parks & rec but looking for limited impact
    • Continued eviction and legal defense funds as priorities
    • Evaluating mobile home facility requirements - water, management
    • Considering rules on electrified mobility restrictions 
    • Upcoming election with candidates, ballot measures

  • Sgt. Matt Hann- District 1 Police
    • Bringing in new team members to backfill internal promotions
    • HOPE team - still funded as it was, looking for additional grant approved money that might increase the team
  • Seth - FC Rescue
    • Infrastructure work still going on, Friday is official ground breaking ceremony
    • Fundraising had $27M, now has $27.5M goal - at $27.3M for fundraising
    • Fire damage in Old Town is still closed, no habitation but goal of beds for winter coming soon
    • No 24/7 shelter, 70 beds now instead of 160
    • New building opening late 2026
    • Looking for a stop gap building to help for a year to close the gap in bed needs
    • Loveland is shutting down shelters this month - 60 beds will be gone from inventory of Northern Colorado
  • Mary Ann - Coats & Boots
    • Boots are in at Scheel’s, coats are mostly in. Waiting to transfer inventory when full delivery is ready
    • Letters have been sent to schools and waiting on replies
    • 2nd-3rd week of October we will need volunteers to pack out coat and boot orders for school deliveries in November
    • 1500 orders of coats and boots
    • Donations are still open
  • Greg Dewey - Northern Water 
    • New road going in, tying in to overland trail
    • Northern Water cannot own the project, but manages it for the stakeholders
    • New highway will be built before the old highway is switched over - nearly zero impact to traffic flow
    • Breaking ground fall 2026
    • Slightly bigger than Horsetooth
    • $100M in increments going to NOCO Foundation that is managed 50/50 with votes from Northern Water and Save the Poudre
    • Found uranium is at extremely low levels - 100x lower than mines. Soil & Dust from crushing are the main concern. Planned treatment - 10% sequester, treatments on site similar to Terry Ranch in Greeley. ​
